COMPRESSION

One of the biggest unsung skills in media creation is the ability to take a video, image, or audio and compress it (shrink the file size while preserving as much quality as possible) for DVD or internet use.

Bad compression can result in large visual "artifacts" and poor audio quality, while good compression can limit artifacts and audio distortion in even the smallest files.
